We believe that the quality of a teacher is the single most important factor in a student's success. That is why we have developed one of the most rigorous and demanding teacher selection processes in the industry.

Less than 5% of all applicants are accepted to teach at IQRA. This exclusivity ensures that your child is learning from a truly exceptional educator who has met our uncompromising standards for knowledge, communication, and teaching ability.


Our Rigorous 4-Step Vetting Process

Step 1: Expert Subject Matter Mastery First and foremost, our teachers are masters of their subject matter. Candidates undergo comprehensive exams to verify their deep knowledge of the Quran, Arabic language, and Islamic studies. Many of our teachers are distinguished graduates of the prestigious Al-Azhar University, bringing an unparalleled level of authentic expertise.

Step 2: English Proficiency Examination While our teachers are native Arabic speakers, they must demonstrate a high level of English proficiency to teach our global student body effectively. Candidates undergo specific English exams designed to assess their ability to communicate complex topics clearly and effectively in an online classroom environment.

Step 3: Pedagogical and Teaching Skills Assessment Great knowledge is not enough; our teachers must be great instructors. We assess each candidate for their teaching skills, their ability to engage students, and their capacity to create a supportive and positive learning environment.

Step 4: Continuous Training & Quality Assurance Our process doesn't end upon hiring. It's a continuous cycle of improvement.

  • Initial Training: All new teachers undergo intensive training on our curriculum, teaching methodologies, and the use of our online platform.

  • Ongoing Professional Development: We provide regular enrichment programs to all teachers to continually enhance their skills.

  • Gap Analysis: If our academic team identifies a gap in any area, we immediately initiate targeted training to address it, ensuring our high standards are always maintained.


The Benefit of Learning from Native Speakers

While English is not the first language for most of our teachers, this is a pedagogical advantage. Learning from a native Arabic speaker is the most effective way to master correct pronunciation and attune your ear to the authentic phonetics of the language.

For students new to non-native accents, there may be a brief adjustment period of a few sessions, just as with learning any new skill. This is a normal and temporary phase that quickly resolves and has never been an impediment to student progress. This immersive experience is a core component of our successful learning model.
